Water GHAims (Gender Harmony Aims) EuroCamp: European Training Camp in Italy

Members of the five partner organizations participating in the project will meet from 26/08/2018 to 1/09/2018 in Trapani, Italy, to attend Water GHAims EuroCamp. At the international meeting, hosted at ASD Aquarius facilities, athletes aged 14-18 together with their coaches will travel to Italy to participate in a pilot program to promote equal opportunities in sports.

The purpose of the meeting is to raise awareness among athletes, coaches and actors about gender discrimination. During the meeting participants will initially receive special training and exchange views on combating gender discrimination in sport industry.

During the meeting an alternative training program based on equal opportunities will be developed. Young athletes will have the opportunity to train according to a specific training program. The innovative training program at the end of the EuroCamp will be available to the public.

At the same time, Water GHAims EuroCamp also includes several cultural activities that aim to bringing the peoples together while exchanging their respective cultures.

Water GHAims EuroCamp is a 12 month international cooperation funded under the Erasmus Sport Program of the European Commission.

The project promotes the exchange of knowledge and cooperation between the five partner organizations: ASD Aquarius (Italy), Helsiborg Simsällskap (Sweden), WKS Slask (Poland), Technological Educational Institution of Western Greece and European Institute of Local Development (Greece).
